FAQS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHERE CAN I HOLD MY PARTY? DO I NEED TO FIND A LOCATION OR WILL YOU?

Jewel of the Jungle parties and experiences can be held just about anywhere, from your own home to community centres, barns, and even hotels depending on your wishes. Should you wish to hold the event in your own home, we would insist on a preliminary visit just to ensure that it will be suitable for the animals and guests to have as great an experience as possible. We’re happy to help arrange a location should you need us to!

WHAT CERTIFICATION DO YOU HAVE TO BE WORKING WITH ANIMALS AND CHILDREN?

All of the staff here at Jewel of the Jungle have full, enhanced DBS certificates, allowing us to work with children. Alongside that, we also ensure individual risk assessments are made and confirmed with our clients for every event to ensure that risks are minimised as much as possible. These certificates can be provided upon request

WHAT TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU HAVE IN THIS INDUSTRY?

The owner of The Jewel of the Jungle has always had an interest in Birds of Prey and exotic animals. Due to this interest, he has over 10 years experience of owning, handling and caring for these animals. Alongside this, our Event Manager holds a BSc(Hons) degree in Animal Biology. She is therefore aware of and able to implement the optimum care, handling and training techniques required when working with these exotic species. Additionally, all of the Jewel of the Jungle staff are highly trained to ensure the highest level of animal care and event presentation.

IF I ONLY WANT CERTAIN ANIMALS AT MY EVENT AND NOT OTHERS IS THAT OKAY?

Of course, we are here to provide you with your perfect, bespoke event. Our ‘Pick and Mix’ animal option allows you to select any 8 animals of your choice to attend your event.

ARE ANY OF THE ANIMALS DANGEROUS?

None of our animals require a Dangerous Wild Animals Licence and none are venomous. Though, as our events involve live animals, there is an element of risk. However, Jewel of the Jungle create accurate and detailed risk assessments prior to each event to ensure that this risk is minimised as much as possible. We also spend a considerable amount of time handling our animals to ensure that they are used to being handled, and also used to different situations and environments. A first aid kit is also available at each event.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CHANGE THE DATE OF MY BOOKED EVENT?

If you rearrange your event date 14 days or more from the original event booking date, the event can be rearranged free of charge. Please refer to the booking terms and conditions for more information.
